GRRS Practice
It’s a busy day at Palm Desert RC Raceway
Lots of good practice going on. Everybody really digging Levi’s track layout. We are seeing signs of good passing Zones and should make some close racing. The whoop section right before the line will make for some interesting finishes.

Grass Roots Update
The Fairfield Inn by Marriott has secured a rate of $124.00 per night for the race. Space is limited so book soon. Ask for Robert when calling for rooms. The Fairfield Inn is the closest hotel to the track within 1 block
RV Parking will no longer be allowed in the upper parking lot across the street from the Track. All RV’s must park on the street next to the track. If you want to reserve a spot for your RV please give us a call. We will need to the total length of your rig.
Gates will open at 1pm to 7pm on friday for practice of both Electric and Nitro. We will go to controlled practice when it gets busy. Cost $7.00 for practice Gates will open Sat & Sun at 6am racing starts at 9am

Track Rebuild for The Grass Roots Racing Series
We are in the process of rebuilding the track for the GRRS. Levi Jackson owner of Thunder Alley is putting his skills to our facility building what I’m sure will be a sick layout for the event. Levi is well know in the industry and has produced dozens of layouts including 2 Nationals tracks. We will be at the track both Sat & Sunday if you want to stop by and lend a hand.
The Track will re-open for GRRS practice on Friday 2-10-12 @ 1pm.
We are looking forward to kicking off the season with the GRRS this year and hope to see many out for the event
Last Day for 5th Scale Wed Night 2-1-12
5th Scale Drivers this Wed Night is your last chance to get on the track before we rebuild for the Grass Roots Series. Practice fee is $7.00 We will do controlled practice during this night for all scales.
We had a few out last week and hope to see more. We understand that there is no real place to race in So Cal for 5th scale and will consider doing this before each track rebuild. If your a promotor of 5th scale please contact us as we would love to talk to you about hosting your race.
We will be closed 2-2-12 to 2-9-12 and will reopen 2-10-12 for GRRS practice at 1pm in the afternoon on friday.
Levi Jackson will be putting in a sick layout for the GRRS we can wait to see what he does..
1/5th Scale @ PDRCR
Due to popular demand, we will allow 1/5th scales on the track from Friday, January 27th until we close for the new layout on February 1st. Will will have controlled practice alternating between 5th scale and 8th/10th scale on those 3 days.
The track will be closed after practice Wednesday night, February 1st, for a track rebuild in preparation for Grass Roots Round 1, February 11-12. We will reopen Friday, February 10th from 1-7pm, $10 practice fee.
Saturday Jan 28th we will include 1/5th scale in our club racing program. SORRY no race bucks for this class.
